Burglary of a vehicle, 1100 block of Hickory Street, Wednesday
A woman reported that $2,400 worth of jewelry was stolen from her vehicle. While she was on the phone with police, other officers found her belongings in a nearby backyard.
Assault family violence, 2000 Belmont Boulevard, Wednesday
A man was arrested after he allegedly assaulted his mother by slapping her, pulling her hair, ripping her shirt off and flipping her over the bed on which his brother was lying. Police noted visible marks on the woman’s body.
Shoplifting, 4300 block of Southwest Drive, Wednesday
A retailer reported that someone stole $280 worth of food and household items.
Burglary, 1600 block of Highway 351, Wednesday
A hotel reported that a suspect stole a 5-gallon bucket of laundry supplies and a laundry cart valued at $640.
Possession of a controlled substance, 1100 block of Victoria Street, Tuesday
A  male suspect was arrested after officers with the APD’s Special Operations Division executed a search warrant at his home and reported finding a meth pipe and a small but “usable” amount of the drug.
